The Coco Chanel Suite @ Ritz Paris

Coco Chanel by Horst

My obsession with all things Chanel continues with a look at the Coco Chanel suite at Ritz Paris. The magnificent Ritz hotel was built in 1898 by Hardouin-Mansart, who also designed the Palace of Versailles. It's Louis XVI decor has always attracted a glittering clientele.

All the suites at the Ritz are named after famous people who spent time in this truly fabulous hotel. I stayed there years ago when a record company paid for the trip and we had a most delightful time. The rooms were amazingly beautiful and the food and service was excellent as expected from a hotel of this calibre. Nightly rates for a Prestige Suite ranges from 2200€ to 13000€, which unfortunately is just a tad out of my price range! The rooms are considerably cheaper starting at 550€ per night.

So here's a hypothetical question... which one would you pick if you could?
